Pay:  Competitive day rate (dependent on experience) 

 
About the Role 

At Hideaway Garden Rooms, we design and build high-end, bespoke garden rooms, transforming outdoor spaces into stunning, functional areas. As a Skilled Labourer, you’ll be a key part of our small, dedicated team, helping to construct beautiful, high-quality builds that our customers love.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be involved in every stage of the build process - from groundwork and framing to cladding, insulation and finishing. If you take pride in your work, enjoy variety and thrive in a fast-paced, supportive environment, we’d love to hear from you. 

 
Key Responsibilities 

• Assist in all aspects of garden room construction, including: 

• Groundwork and base preparation 

• Timber framing and structural assembly 

• Insulation, cladding and roofing 

• Installation of windows, doors and internal finishes 

• Safely load, unload and move building materials and tools on-site 

• Work with a variety of materials (timber, composite cladding, sheet metal etc.) 

• Maintain a clean, organised site throughout the project 

• Follow health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment 

• Work efficiently as part of a small team, meeting deadlines while maintaining high standards 

 

What We’re Looking For 

We’re searching for a hardworking, practical and reliable individual who takes pride in their craftsmanship.

Essential Skills & Requirements: 

• Experience in construction, carpentry, or landscaping (preferred but not essential) 

• Confident using hand and power tools 

• Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn 

• Physically fit and comfortable with manual labour and outdoor work 

• Own transport to travel to sites across Surrey and surrounding areas (preferred) 

• Self-employed status with a valid UTR number (or willingness to register)

Desirable (But Not Essential): 

• CSCS card 

• Previous experience in garden rooms, timber buildings or similar projects
